Wednesday's Southwark Council Protest and Hammersmith Tenants Meeting

On Wednesday night, tenants in two different parts of London sent a message to their councillors and the Government that they will not stand by and allow the bedroom tax to wreck their lives.

In South London, the Southwark Group of Tenants organised a protest of more than 50 that lobbied the Council Assembly.

In West London, the leader of the opposition in Hammersmith and Fulham council, Labour's Steve Cowan and the Anti-Bedroom Tax and Benefit Justice Federation's Pat Carmody both condemned the Tories and their odious welfare cuts and debated the

way forward at a meeting organised by the Field Road Tenants and Residents Association : report here and video here
